Army School Liaison Officer
The Army School Liaison Officer serves as the installation subject matter expert (SME) for youth education/school transition issues. They inform and advise commanders and parents on student education/transition issues, promote parent involvement in youth education and collaborate with local schools and the installation. Their goal is to provide a wide variety of programs and services that help ensure a “level playing field” for Army youth transitioning among installations and school systems. Their strong partnership with the Department of Education also helps to improve the various Hawaii public schools that military children attend.
